Head of Culture at Canning House

The role of the Head of Culture is to develop and manage the Canning House Cultural Department and produce programmes of cultural events on Latin America and Iberia which are relevant to members and other stakeholders and are capable of attracting sponsorship. These programmes have ranged from major events such as the Canning Cultural lecture to book launches and talks about travel. The holder works actively with outside cultural institutions and embassies from the regions to put together joint events where applicable. Please click here for more details.

Volunteering at Canning House

Our success of Canning House is based on a strong network of volunteers who help in the library and culture departments. If you are interested in Latin America, and have some free time to spare, then please do contact the relevant department to discuss current projects.

Internships at Canning House

Canning House offers a breadth of experience for undergraduates/recent graduates who would like an introduction to working within this region. These internships are currently unpaid, however the wide variety of projects and the interaction with multinationals/NGOs/embassies in the region would offer valuable short term (minimum 6 month commitment) work experience for prospective candidates. If you are interested please contact the Corporate Department or Culture Department directly.
